LA 34 : Moving Paper Spider

Assalamualaikum and Hi!

Today, we continued our lesson with making a moving paper spider! I showed them a sample and later provided them with the template. Actually, I would like to revise about the prepositions (in, on, under) but we were lack of time, so yeah, that's all about spider for today. 

What do you need?

• Moving Paper Spider Template (click below to download)

• Colour
• Scissors
• Glue

• Wood Stick (Satay sticks)

How to do it?

There is a tutorial about it. Look at the video below. I created a printable template to make it easier for my pupils to make it.

1. Colour the given template.
2. Cut according to its shapes.
3. Put the glue on the first circle.
4. Paste the rectangles on it (one by one to make the legs)
5. Put more glue on it, and put the wood stick.
6. Paste another circle on it and press hard.
7. Place the head at the other end of the stick.
8. Fold the legs to form like a spider's legs.
9. Play with it!

LA 20 : Mini Story Book

Hello there! So, to deal with post exam activities, I have prepared few activities that test their imagination and knowledge and this is one of them. Exposing them to few content from the Year 4 text book just to fill the remaining days before the holidays. We made a simple magic book, which is as follow (check the tutorial on how to make this book HERE) :

I only asked them to bring scissors and colour pencils, while I provided them with a white A4 paper each. Then, I taught them on how to make the mini book step by step. Seems like they had fun while doing this activity! I explained the content of each paragraph so that they can imagining on how to illustrate their mini story books. The text is taken from Year 4 textbook :

For your information, I did not prepare any sample in this activity as I just don't have the time to do something handwritten and decorative at the moment. Thank God they loved to do it on their own. These are their reactions while doing this activity. Some of them did pretty well and of course, they got variety of imaginations which can be seen in their drawings. :)

Overall, all of them did very well and illustrated it in a great way. Well, I got these two which I believed the best ones among all. Surprisingly, these two are boys' works. Congrats guys!

 P/s : As a post exam activity, this is one of the best for the pupils to reduce their boredom at school. Anyway, thanks for reading!

LA 17 : Mobile Paper Butterflies

Subjek : Pendidikan Seni

Topik : Membuat Mobail Haiwan Bersayap

Entri ini ditulis dalam Bahasa Melayu sebab ini untuk subjek Pendidikan Seni. Walaupun boleh digunakan untuk subjek Bahasa Inggeris. Ini adalah pertama kali aku kena ajar subjek Pendidikan Seni. Bila rujuk RPT dari internet, minggu lepas kena buat Mobail Haiwan Bersayap. Mula - mula tak tau la apa tu mobail, Ingatkan benda berkaitan dengan kereta. Hahaha!

Ok. Mobail tu benda yang bergantung, apa - apa bahan seni yang bergantung (betulkan jika salah, sebab aku main google je benda ni). Jadi, untuk melaksanakan 1 jam pelajaran ini, aku buat keputusan untuk membuat Rama - rama kertas yang boleh digunapakai untuk hias pentas sekolah kalau ada majlis - majlis.

Berikut adalah gambar - gambar sepanjang aktiviti :

Bahan - bahan yang diperlukan :

• Kertas warna A4 / kertas origami / kad manila (*saiz kertas menentukan saiz rama - rama ye. Kertas biasanya ditaja oleh guru Seni kalau murid - murid tak bawak bahan)
• Gunting (kalau takde, guna pembaris pun boleh)
• Gam (optional)
• Tali / Benang (sebab mobail kan, mesti ada tali atau benang la, pun ditaja oleh guru Seni sendiri)

Cara - cara nak buat :

*ketahuilah bahawa aku cuma menonton video dari YouTube ini dan membuat dua sampel rama - rama untuk murid - murid. So, sila klik video di bawah ye. Sesi ni dimulakan dengan mengajar murid - murid cara - cara melipat kertas ini dengan betul. Kesabaran amat diperlukan bagi membenarkan murid - murid berjaya membuat satu rama - rama dengan tepat. Selepas itu, aku cuma perlu membantu mengikat rama - rama yang mereka buat.
